First –> Informal / Less formal

  • Preposition –> at the end of the relative clause.
  • Relative Pronouns –> who, which, that
  • Don’t drop relative pronoun.
  • Examples:

That is the teacher                            I was talking to him

  • That’s the teacher who/that I was talking to.

This is the book.                                She told me about it.

  • This is the book which/that she told me about.

Second –> Formal

  • Preposition à before the relative pronoun. تصبح الجملة رسمية فقط بنقل حرف الجر إلى قبل ضمير الوصل
  • Relative Pronouns à whom, which. وهذا يتم فقط مع ضميري الوصل
  • Don’t drop relative pronoun.
  • Examples
